Family Home Evening is an effort to help families be strengthened by spending quality time learning life lessons and creating memories.
Your family is encouraged to set aside one night a week, typically Monday evenings, to spend together as a family. Take out the distractions of life: television, radio, cell phones, computers, gaming systems, etc. and focus on the family.
Our goal is to help create strong family bonds, educate in life lessons and enrich lives with unforgettable memories created during family nights.
Family Home Evenings– Life Lessons Made Easy.
The History~
The Family Home Evening Web site was launched in June 2008 to help provide free and accessible lessons on various religious and non-religious topics following the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As members of this faith, we believe and have been counseled for decades to meet together one night a week and hold a “family home evening” to help teach gospel principles in the home as well as other important life lessons and to create family bonds.
Over the past years, the Web site has reached a vast international following and it was time to re-organize the site with more information and resources for strengthening the family and to also include those that are of other faiths or who just want to focus on family values.
In Sept. 2011, the Family Home Evenings site will become available to all those who desire to strengthen and unify traditional families.
